When it comes to tattoo ink you’ll want to do your research before deciding on the right product. The quality of tattoo inks can vary widely depending on the brand with some being much better than others.

Eternal Tattoo Inks are one of the most common inks that you’ll see when shopping online but are they any good?

People often ask us what we think of them so we decided to write this Eternal Tattoo Ink review to give the full scoop on this ink and what we think of it.

Eternal Tattoo Ink History

Eternal Ink has been around for quite some time. In fact, it was established in 1980 by Terry “Tramp” Welker who was a self-taught tattoo artist with a traditional style.

He opened his first tattoo studio that he called Eternal Tattoos. This later grew into a chain with 5 studios in Detroit, Michigan.

Terry became all to familiar with the problems that regular tattoo ink has. Because of this he decided to begin hand mixing consistent ink colors in his studio. Then he created his own palette of colors in 1998. Over the next few years his ink got more and more popular.

The ink business got so popular that it separated from the tattoo studio and Eternal Ink INC was created to make tattoo ink for artists.

According to the companies website they don’t offer factory tours which is pretty much the industry norm.

Eternal Ink FAQ

Usage: Before using it you should tighten the cap and shake it hard for one minute after the mixing ball moves freely. Also, make sure to shake it before each use. After finishing, close the lid tight and wipe the pouring tip with a clean cloth. If the ink begins drying out or needs some thinning then they recommend using their product called “keep it wet”.

Storage: Every bottle has an expiration date on the label. It’s suggested that the ink is used up before that date. Stored bottles should be shaken up every 3 months to make sure that there’s a consistent color match during usage. Store the ink away from direct sunlight at comfortable room temperature.

The Verdict

Overall we highly recommend Eternal Tattoo inks. The massive variety has enough colors to satisfy every artist. It has no toxic compounds and uses only the highest quality ingredients. Have experience with Eternal Tattoo Inks? Let us know in the comments.
